Smartphone cameras work using an automatic mode (in most cases). Nevertheless, almost each smartphone camera supports some specific features:
Format selection
Every smartphone has two different selection modes: Rectangle (in most cases in the relation 3:4) and square.
Hint: Instagram uses the square format as the best supported format.
Hint: Most DSLR cameras use the 3:2 rectangle format.
Flash mode
All smartphone cameras support several flash modes:
- No flash
The flash is not used (switched off) - Automatic flash
The camera decides (due to the available brightness) if the flash is used or not. - Flash always
In this mode the flash is used with each taken picture
